It's a boffer axe!

It's made of two kinds of foam with a composite carbon fiber/fiberglass core, and painted latex overtop. :) I did the detailing in two ways:

1) The vine pattern is cut out from a thin sheet of foam, with edges all sanded

2) The letters are very thin strips of foam

A purple dragon (or wyvern, I suppose, but shush) with wings outstretched, flying in profile or looking as if to land. Its tail is composed of owl feathers, and its underbelly is grey. The dragon is wearing mother of pearl armour on its chest and the underside of its tail, and two rings on its leg. Its feet are shaped like owl talons with two foreclaws and two hind claws. Colour pencil and ink on pearl paper.
