me asking my dad, a 30+ year homeowner, a simple tax question and him telling me to trust AI even though it's often wrong. fuckin boomers man
it's worse when you get a "did you ask AI" response from them, when you the reason you're asking to begin with is because it's something you're sure they know. pic unrelated
oh good it's done responsibly. what a relief
and now we're learning that the US has been negotiating with Iranians that don't even have the power to do what they say. Just call me when this is over.
"oh you're a big wife guy? hold my beer"
or if you could only fly above solid ground and not water
its fun to watch in a "holy shit this is the most unethical therapist office on the planet" way
@celebrityhottub.bsky.social Cape Verde dropped their world cup song and its actually pretty good youtu.be/Gqe5KYSwLig?...
I think this is a big factor in people from LA being perceived as nice but not kind and NY people perceived as being kind but not nice
I live in Baltimore which is car-friendlier than other cities and I *still* find it easier and nicer to get to certain places on foot or bike/scooter than my car. Like moving your car (losing/finding parking, traffic) is annoying at best, affects your mood, and it just cascades from there.
my parents (and my in-laws) were all NYC kids who moved to the suburbs and are continuously perplexed that we (and my sister and sister-in-law) all live in cities now and reject the "comfortable" suburban life they raised us in. Can't grasp that we don't believe that hell is other people.
@brianmfloyd.bsky.social seems less than ideal that families of deployed service members feel the need to go to the media with this, right

I *wish* my dog was dumb. My day to day would be a lot easier.
@briancgrubb.bsky.social we need to bring back Agent Doug for the documentary. Also: Asst Director James Barnacle
they went out of their way to make LIV stand for the dumbest possible thing and I appreciate them for it
how is your wireless charger powered
mine is that wireless charging in its current (heh) form is dumb and pointless. what if you still had to attach your phone to a charger except now it's way slower
for those unfamiliar it's called a "keyhole" surgery
wait he removed the liver during a LAPAROSCOPY??? HOW
hadnt heard of this before now, surely an intended outcome
my wife and I bought a couple basic film cameras because there's something way better emotionally about going through physical photos than just on a screen
I don't even know what I'd wake up to in the summer at 2am with ESPN on these days
@briancgrubb.bsky.social
you could probably ask him to point the Strait of Hormuz on a map with Iran labeled and he wouldn't get it
we almost got there with groceries
photos you can hear
....why is this not in the newspaper her husband owns?
