Ouseley’s Jerusalem on High included in BBC Choral Evensong live on BBC Radio 3 from Hereford Cathedral as part of the Three Choirs Festival yesterday. Ouseley became Precentor at Hereford in 1825, and 2025 marks the bicentenary of his birth. The service is available on the BBC website.

A wonderful Evensong at St Paul’s Cathedral on 1 July, to celebrate the bicentenary of the birth of Sir Frederick Arthur Gore Ouseley. The premiere of Glory be to God for dappled things by Gabriel Jackson was sung by the Cathedral Choir and Hackney Choral. ouseleytrust.org.uk

Sir Frederick Arthur Gore Ouseley was born in 1825. To mark the bicentenary, the OCMT has commissioned Gabriel Jackson to compose a new anthem Glory be to God for dappled things. This will be premiered during Evensong at St Paul’s Cathedral on Tuesday 1 July at 5 p.m.
