why are we forgetting traditional, performant code solutions and delegating everything to LLMs ? the goal should be to use LLMs as little as possible, for the things that are hard using traditional code, like categorisation and natural language identification not the other way around

LLMs are ground-breaking tech, no doubt about it. But all the stuff around it? Agents, MCP servers, A2A.. that's still your bog standard software development solutions. Don't overthink it.

Why we're working on Unnecessary and Special Projects A network of technology professionals developing software for the love of it, without any of the bullshit. All projects are 100% unnecessary.

Would love to get added, we are still early days although we've been in development for a while and are about to launch our first project Bookie!

Your innie's vibe-coding future has only one path if your outie doesn't actually know how to code

#aidisillusionment
#coderesponsibility
#severance

Please don't listen to anyone telling you that you can build a business as a noob using vibe coding.

I'm building a software company, but it's not really software I’m building. I just see stuff, say stuff and tell someone to copy and paste from AI, and it almost never works. It’s #vibeware.

All the time, AI can't deliver my products and features by itself, so I will randomly hire real developers to fix AI’s #vibe mess. It’s not too bad since developers are now throwaways, and in all honesty it’s quite amusing.

Code was always beyond my usual comprehension, it looks a lot like the inside of Egyptian temple walls to me if I’m honest. I knew some HTML though, before I know everything now (since I know everything AI knows).

I don't actually know what to say or think about AI, so I’ll just say something ridiculous like "AI is making 100X developers", and usually that makes me look smart. Where did I get that number? Who cares, it looks cool and it's fun to say "100X".

I believe and repeat the dumbest things like "vibe coding is the future" because I want to look smart and ahead of the curve. I accept everything I read and I won't speak to the people who are actually in the trenches of software. (Why would I, I have AIs to speak to now)

It's possible because the trendsetters are getting too trendy. Also I just blindly read without actually thinking, so I barely need to use my brain anymore (and why would I when I have AI to think for me).

There's a new kind of tech leadership and innovation style I call "Vibe Hype-Hopping", where you fully give in to common sense and reality, and just misinterpret and embrace the latest AI trend for the sake of it, and forget that your development team even exists.
