Absolutely. I know I come from a slightly different perspective, because my main fandom was very small. If people wanted fan creations, they couldn't afford to be assholes and chase anyone away. In bigger fandoms, I imagine the asshole percentage is considerably higher.

I think fandom culture in general has just changed too much for me to keep up with. The mentality of some people just... boggles me.

I think climate is a big factor in this too. Warmer-climate people seem to walk in and out of the house as is, but I'll even take off my shoes if I'm just going in quickly to get keys or something. It's habit to me.

We need a nebulous word like "guy". Someone can be 20 and be a guy. They can be 80 and be a guy.

(Many in the wrestling community are amused that we now have a picture of Jason Momoa and Roman Reigns together, because they have a similar look.)

I know there are at least two: Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns/Joe Anoa'i. (Roman plays Akuma, apparently?) I'm not sure if there are more. But I've been seeing a bunch of their press for it, so seeing some from the non-wrestling side is fun too.

It's (good) weird to me, because I know people who are excited for the movie because some wrestlers are in it, and I know some who are interested because they like the game, so I'm getting two sides of fandom squee.
