I drew a bunch of pokémon from memory yesterday for a dono stream to raise money to get a Switch 2 + pokopia. Hope you guys enjoy my little scrunglies.

Everyone who tried to draw around me and started drawing LOVED it at the beginning because of their QUICK IMPROVEMENT. Then quit when they hit The Wall™️.

But it's when you hit The Wall™️ that you NEED to push through with practice!! And you gotta do it for yourself, because it's ALWAYS worth it! 😤

Drew Olympic Figure Skaters LOPAREVA Evgeniia / BRISSAUD Geoffrey. They used Blue from Eiffel 65 amongst others and I just really liked their set.
Wish I'd been able to grab more screenshots of specific moves that really highlighted their personality. But I can't watch it back anymore. ;-;

Apparently the AI bros are on another round of "Hatsune Miku is AI, checkmate luddites" so this is just a reminder that the singer behind Miku was paid and still earns royalties, and beyond that, Miku is nothing more than a MIDI soundboard with advanced pitch converter options, it is not genAI.

I didn't feel like I improved all that much this yet. I really should put more time into practice but finding motivation has been troubling.

A grid of pictures under months. January is a bottle, Febuary is a zoomed in portrait of someone wearing a gem. March is a sketch of people sitting and laughing. April is a gem-like melon. May is a head profile sketch. June is a woman in a blue top and dark blue pants with golden scars. July is a succubus laying on his back with his legs in the air. August is a zoomed in mega Victreebel pokemon. September is Luna's pirate model winking. October is a man in a trenchcoat taking a swig of a whisky tin. November is a zoomed in version of two men looking at each other. December is a glowy shiny glass strawberry.

Art Summary of 2025, not every month was as productive hence some of the sketches. I made a Vtube model spanning part of August and September, felt that was worthy of inclusion.
Hope to do more studies and practice next year.

Going through old art reminded me of how much I enjoyed drawing gemstones in the past. So I tried my hand at it again. This time I kept my brush strokes looser.

Honestly, from my perspective you're doing quite well. I get reduced to scribbles without my fancy glowy layers and select tool. (My poor crisp edges. ;-; Gone)

OHh, looks nice! Definitely should keep doing things that are fun. I find drawing traditional tougher than digital myself. Guess practice would help... xD

It's an old trick I picked up from when I focused on gems and certain potions. Dark backgrounds makes the brights pop even more.
Sometimes I feel I ought to make the background more visually interesting. But then the simplicity has it's elegance too.
