“Loss of skill” is again conditional. Tools always displace skills: manual calculation, technical drawing, memorization. What is lost in execution is often gained in abstraction, curation, and systems architecture.

argument against "loss of human identity" and "loss of connection" is more philosophical than empirical. It presupposes that technological mediation necessarily reduces human value, which historically does not hold up. Writing, printing, photography, and
internet have received similar accusations.

The criticism regarding near-identical replication and deepfakes (especially non-consensual pornography) is valid. These are real and already materialized risks.

Training AI ≠ copying works.

Training analyzes statistical patterns.

There is no:

reproduction of the work, human access to the work, direct replacement of the original work

In classic copyright law, "use without identifiable copying" is not theft.

Statistical similarity ≠ legal similarity

Regardless of whether it's human or AI, making a commercial imitation of another artist's work without a real/complete transformation is theft. Yes, commercial fan art is theft regardless of whether it's made by a human.
