You can restrict data access without preventing access entirely when working across government agencies. And even significantly delayed and scraped data provides information valuable to weather patterns and future tracking.

Anything that hampers NOAA further at this point is a serious problem.

My red state (MO) also consistently passes progressive ballot initiatives by high numbers, but we are gerrymandered all to hell to keep the R’s in power. And the Rs in our legislature pass laws to protect them and their corporate sponsors from those ballot initiatives.

In red states that money goes into the pockets of R politicians and their network of business-owning friends. They take the federal contracts, don’t do the work, file bankruptcy, and walk away. No results for D initiatives are seen. Then Rs yell “Gov doesn’t work,” and “Democrats are thieves.”

As Gaza Starves, Republicans Take Aim at Another Lifeline. Almost No One Noticed. As Gaza starves, Republicans take aim at UNRWA, a potential lifeline. Almost no one noticed.

“It seems incredibly hypocritical to suddenly be shocked by these images when every humanitarian agency has said no one can replace UNRWA."

The Pentagon Won’t Track Troops Deployed on U.S. Soil. So We Will. Pentagon press releases say 20,000 federal troops have deployed to support ICE across the country. The real number may be markedly higher.

One-third of the U.S. border is now completely militarized due to the creation of four new national defense areas, or NDAs.

I want to make sure this comment isn’t lost deep in the thread. The R’s actions are 100% intentional and all based in hate.

The rich hate the disabled because of the money they can’t grift easily from the gov. Middle and lower class R’s want us to die cheaply out of sight, 100% as the Nazi’s did.

The cuts to Medicaid and other vital programs like food stamps are estimated to lead to 51,000 preventable deaths each year. Rural hospitals will see some of the worst impacts, with over 330 hospitals slated to be hurt by the bill and at risk of shuttering altogether, researchers have said.

Republicans just voted to kill their base. They don't care because they had one assignment: placate the billionaire donors.

It's the rest of us vs. the oligarchy.

The majority vs. the 1%

We need fighters willing to stand up and lead on this.

Garbage in garbage out does not exclude ai technologies. As their flawed output clutters up their input channels, the results they offer will become exponentially worse.

Balancing the equities, plaintiffs’ injuries far outweigh any harm to the Government from a postponement. Without a postponement, plaintiffs face the termination of Haiti’s TPS designation on September 2, 2025 and the subsequent loss of their legal right to live and work in the United States, despite this Court’s finding that Secretary Noem’s partial vacatur of Haiti’s TPS designation was unlawful. Other than the Executive Branch’s right to engage in foreign relations activities and enforce the nation’s immigration laws within the bounds Congress has set, which remains intact, the Government identifies no other harms to the public interest, other interested people, or the Government itself that would result from the postponement of Secretary Noem’s partial vacatur.

NEW: A federal court in NYC just ruled that Secretary Noem's decision to "partially vacate" Secretary Mayorkas' decision to extend TPS for Haiti was unlawful.

This would restore the original expiration date of February 3, 2026, and potentially overrule Noem's recent decision to terminate it.

A black crow with big yellow eyes sits on a fence next to a mug that says fight me on it. Above the crow it says become unhinged, lose your mind, yell at a stranger, do it for the story.

A pharmaceutical company running a medication insurance company should never be legal.

I had to pay $85 for a *one month supply* of a medication that is literally a tiny amount of estrogen in a dissolving capsule only *because it wasn’t proscribed through CVS.*

His “let locals decide” stance on LGBTQIA+ rights is blanket permission for the discrimination and abuse of queer people without any consequences from the church leadership. It is not a positive statement in the slightest.

In New York, ICE detained a busload of farmworkers that were actively involved in a union drive.

In Washington state, ICE dragged a farmworkers’ rights activist and leader out of his car to detain him.

Be warned: attacking unions is a hallmark of fascism.
