a short local theatre run of a play i was in finished a few days ago and i'm going to miss it so much. spending 3 evenings each week rehearsing, making art with real people in-person, was so nice. i really needed it. anyway sorry for the little unannounced hiatus, more audio coming this week.

all soundtrack! technically it’s a super simple play, there is hardly any set even, most structures are built as needed on stage from 50cm blocking boxes. deliberately very raw. the most technical thing we have is a few projections onto the back wall

seeing all the props start to appear and the sets coming together and everybody going off-book is THRILLING!

most of the sound effects i use come from a library, but it is very satisfying when i occasionally need something super specific that i can't find but am able to record perfectly myself. most recently this was the sound of a glass jar of honey being opened. very tingly sound.

i have just finished reading the Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb and it is really really good. BIG recommend. it took me most of the first book to really get into it, because it was completely different than what i was expecting, but i’m glad i stuck with it
