I'm emptying so much daycare sand from my son's shoes I'm slowly terraforming my front garden.
It's like saying "You too" to a waiter dropping off food and saying "Enjoy".
Neither had I, but I was looking for something with Linux support and something "not Wacom".
I quite enjoy my Xencelabs tablet.
Latin is a dead language... A dead *sexy* language. It puts the romance into romance languages. It has a deep set of declensions. Come experience a bit of ancient tongue today.

Twine 2.12.0 is now out! Major highlights include a new way to see tags in the story map and a better tag autocomplete.

Announcing the results of our microgrants program, class of 2026!
Head over to blog.iftechfoundation.org/2026-04-08-a... to learn more about the 4 projects we are funding this year.
And thank you to all applicants for the continued interest in the program, and to our lovely group of advisors!
That's the zeitgeist. The Time Ghost. We put things aside for it.
Got a new book, by a friend in games academia. Immediately floored by the inside quote.
Vicecoding is being horny on int main().
So we've done livecoding. We've done vibe coding. Bilecoding I think is enterprise software.
Me too, but I had a typo. Now my YouTube feed is wall-to-wall treasure maps.

I had that happen but also, I asked for the Psygnosis physics puzzler Puggsy, but my mum got me Bubsy, the hellish platformer.
Easy mistakes to make! Cool project!
Minor questions: how can you possibly roll a Bunker? And if you roll low on a D20 and high on a d8, what is D20 -d8? Just stop at 1? Loop around?
Two juxtaposed opinions to the same Bluesky query: "What's something that experts/practitioners in your field universally agree upon, but remains a 'hot take' among the general public?" The first is an expert in procedural generation saying "If something has an 80% chance of succeeding, it should succeed 80% of the time, give or take." The second is an expert in procedural narrative saying "most of the time you don't want true randomness and/or simulation in a game. You think you do but you're wrong and will get mad at us if you get it."
Oh no!
(I think they actually agree, but its a funny timeline juxtaposition regardless.)
Why is this? Limiting areas in the code that can have lots of complexity?
My son's is left leg right out, low to the ground, arms out either side with π€ hands. It's how he kicks soccer balls now, apparently.
Absolutely getting this. Mike does great work and procedural generation has been his jam for ages.

It's even old automation that some people refuse to accept. We know people who, instead of a mail merge, organised a four person team over a few days to blast through copy-pasting from different documents into an email.
The air is cool and the house is quiet. I'm having a chill night researching mummification and listening to Void 1680 AM.

Man, I'd love to see Behind the Bastards' @iwriteok.bsky.social and If You're Listening's @mattbevan.bsky.social do a podcast together.
But first, let's see if the hypersleep has ruined your ability to walk. Try walking right with D.
We're a mixed Australian family: we have both Vegemite and Promite.
