I enjoyed this review of Crime and Punishment noting that it is short but also to the point. Sir Michael makes note of Dostoevsky's coverage of crime and also of punishment and comments on the presence of illustrations. Overall I would give this review a star.

What do you have to use for bait? Oh yes...legs. A leg on the end of a line, cast out into the garden.

I have heard of the Broomway. You need a guide to walk across safely.

That would be all right if you were a mosquito fisherman.

What magical egg machine is this?

Leicester is better than Nottingham. But Nottingham probably has or used to have a lot of rock clubs and record shops.

Leicester has better Indian food, better culture, better history, and a more interesting place.

I mean if you want to. I enjoy reading them. I learn quite a bit.

Today it's all linked together because all five destinations are part of the story of Jerry Mock who I think you'd find interesting.

844. Not helped by not realising the Portugal one was in the middle of the Atlantic which I could have worked out from the name Azores.

Have you been reading the extra bits. They are fascinating.

I got confused. I knew I'd heard the name Wilfred Pickles. Seems to have done a lot of radio before my time.

Typical Pickles. Always into the Furry scene.

Whatever the algorithm is doing. Keywords in the article that the picture is from I'd imagine

Now Wilfred Pickles didn't he lose/find the World Cup or the FA Cup or something?

Spooky as I was doing that with a different celeb an hour ago and almost posted a similar post. Mine was Arthur Mullard and Blakey from On The Buses came up.

I'm not sure that making an intelligent rebuttal and then screenshotting because you have your reposts inactivated is exactly "talking bollox". You don't want to engage in debate and that's fine. I come from a debating background so no wonder you disappeared at the first sign of defeat on your part.

I don't get anything from Musk on twitter. I blocked and muted him years ago.

The people who sold twitter to Musk should have, if they were decent people, used the money to build a better alternative. And then everyone would flock to it. Instead we have Threads and Bluesky which are relatively weak.

I think you need to look at the bigger picture.

If everyone had stayed on Twitter it would have kept much of its power. The alternative was for a new platform to be rebuilt that would become the new twitter. That never happened.
