i cbf going into it more but this is an obvious attempt forced on the australian population to "save the children" in a creepy, intrusive way will that negatively impact every age group. i don't want to have to verify my age like this

this ban is more than just preventing under 16s from facebook and instagram. it's also cutting off vulnerable, isolated, and marginalised youth from accessing support systems. it could also force kids to access risky, unregulated online spaces that aren't covered by the ban, or lie about their age

NO... stupid social media ban... dw i'm fuckin 28 but it just feels so wrong to upload legal documents or a photo of my face to websites, it just goes against all internet safety instincts i have. fuck the australian government honestly
