This very very slightly rings a bell. I have a lot of fond memories for ilovebees for Halo and the time travel shenanigans for the Sarah Connor Chronicles. You could send in photos to their site which they would doctor to show how they'd look after the War. Amazing
Will do, think you need to follow me
I've done these. The German equivalent includes sauerkraut, mustard, tyre and leather.
I still need 2 more people to sign up for my Edinburgh AEP archaeology classes at Craigentinny, or the course will be cancelled. If you’ve ever wondered what it is archaeologists do and why, now’s your chance to find out! Thank you! adulteducationedinburgh.spydus.co.uk/cgi-bin/spyd...
Hi, I'm more than happy to help. I use ereaders 95% of the time.
Sorry, I should have said: personal imports. :) Technically I'm not allowed to bring back meat and cheese to the UK from Europe for example.
Is it legal to import fresh food?
Sure, but I don't see why a long term game needs to be 'crunchy' or have a lot of numbers to track. I don't understand why that's a necessity or, to explore your point, what is meant by 'grounded'. I don't understand the post's hypothesis.
@arcticlass.bsky.social You might like this.
Again, what does consistent physics have to do with depth? The essay makes some kind of leap to that conclusion and I don't know what the leap is about.
This is almost certainly a scam or hoax of some kind. Physics is against it.
Help me make an art workshop playlist, folks: what songs do you think of when you hear the word "Sacrifice"?
Dignity by Deacon Blue, on repeat, one thousand times.
I had a neighbour who played just two reggae songs, again and again. And then threw bottles at cats. And then attacked a neighbour with a machete. And I think these things are related.
"But “rules-lite” often lacks the consistent physics required for a long-form campaign"
Why does a campaign need consistent physics?
I use the Getting Things Done approach (there's books). Any time a task comes in that'll take a minute, I do it immediately. I categorise other stuff by where I need to be to address the problem, so I handle all my overdue emails together. Keeps you in the flow somewhat.
You can't cover limits if it's in secret. That completely removes player agency and empowerment.
Merlin?
Saw Sinners again in the cinema and the row ahead was students who bopped in their seats to the music and screamed at the scary bits. Fantastic audience members.
You can't have steak and kidney in a pudding. No wonder we don't make that any more.
Spot on. Brilliant
@shadowtodd.bsky.social Just bumped into this.

"Wind-swept stones and unexpected quietude contrast the main throngs"
That whole article gave me a headache.
Individual bowls of cereal and UHT milk separated by foil, with included plastic spoon, circa 1997 in the UK.
Why would LARP offer more agency than TTRPG? The presence of a GM, genre expectations...?
Beautiful.
That's a fascinating topic
Damn that's good.
I had a cat who went missing for a week and then turned up in a neighbour's. They had already bought a cat bed. The cat looked embarrassed to be caught. I'm sure they'll be back soon, the little nuisance.
