Star Trek The Search for Spock scene. Our Lord Spock is pictured in a white robe. He stands surrounded by his shipmates who are all older here than they were in the TV show. Sulu is smiling and touching Spock's chest for some reason. Uhura, Chekov, Scotty, and Bones stand close and all seem thrilled to see him, but are otherwise practicing self control and not feeling his chest. Despite being surrounded by friends, Spock is staring only at Kirk, for obvious reasons.

Window of a barbershop in Arles, France with an image of Goku from Dragonball Z in an apron and holding a barbershop pole and scissors.
Van Gogh spent a lot of time in Arles, France. There's a restaurant that used to be a hotel where Van Gogh stayed and in a letter he wrote that the food was bad and they overcharged him for wine. Directly next door, sharing a wall, is this Dragonball-themed barbershop.
Awhile back I found out this is called "fecal euphoria" and I can't stop chuckling every time I remember.

I really like the color palette you selected. Cool looking piece π
Oguri Cap from the Umamusume Pretty Derby anime. She is dressed in her school uniform with a large belt sticking out from under her shirt. An empty plate that was once stacked with a mountain of donuts sits on the table in front of her
Wow, Lithgow really saying "let me be the adult face of this production."
Jealous
A set of screenshots from DEEP SPACE NINE. An old Klingon throws his arms around Dax and shouts "Curzon, my beloved old friend!" Dax returns the hug and says "I'm Jadzia now." The Klingon grabs her shoulders, smiles, and says "Jadzia, my beloved old friend!"
Star Trek figured this out thirty years ago. It's not hard. Even an old, drunk Klingon got it.
Do you think those guys cup the balls when they're filling em up with $5 gas?

wouldn't it be funny if EVERYONE blocked this Attie AI account @ bsky.app/profile/atti... before they could do anything with it
I think I might be done with Bluesky? Sounds like everyone's posts are now going to be scrapped by AI so users of this new app can let AI decide what they actually want to see rather than curate their own timeline.
I can't imagine most the artists I follow will be sticking around if that's the case
And I wish them all sheath beans
Imagine dying overseas because Rob Schneider successfully lobbied for a return of the draft
We were shocked when we noticed the very generous tip. We then realized that he looked almost exactly like the picture of Stephen King on the back cover of the book.
So yeah, as a kid I got paid $50 by Stephen King because I said I really liked his book. He probably doesn't even remember π
I was actually reading The Stand while working one of these stops. During my shift, a nice fella noticed my book on the counter. He asked me what I thought of it and we briefly talked about. It was a short interaction, but he had left us a $50 bill (90's money so that was a down payment on a car)
Growing up I was in Scouts. As a fundraiser, we would regularly volunteer to operate safety stops at local interstate rest areas. There was a little trailer and we would give out hot coffee, snacks, and other refreshments in return for donations from travelers.
I wish I could find my 8th grade book reports about @stephenking.bsky.social's The Stand. The book was so long I was able to convince my English teacher to let me use it as the subject of all four of the year's reports.
Here's a thread telling the story of how I'm pretty sure I met King:
Fans of Harry Potter should have just read IT in seventh grade like a normal person
