All you have to do is file DMCA (form just takes like 5 mins, tops). Then the burden of proof falls on him and considering he couldn't be bothered to ask a dozen artists for permission, I doubt he'd be doing the legwork to legally defend himself (which he'd lose anyway)

There's no manual that comes with parenting.

Kids are people. I've found the best way to get through to mine is to sit down and talk to them. Doesn't always correct behavior, that takes time and maturity. But providing them with information and treating them like a human is important.

My parents didn't hit me except once, but my mom made a point of telling me she was hit as a kid and she "decided to be different". As a kid, all that told me was that she wanted to.

So, don't hit your kids, but don't also ask for a medal for not doing it. Not hitting is _baseline_.

I was raised in fear of 'the spoon' and 'the belt,' whipped by both if I did something wrong and constantly regaled with tales of how my grandparents beat my parents growing up...

Decades later I still have nightmares about that shit and live in terror of my father.
