Both of the boys (Jasper furthest from camera, and Oreo - closest to camera) interrupting my nightly date with Luna (in the middle). Fortunately Luna and I had good start to our date. Good part is they are both on the same couch cushion and not fighting… so… win?

I woke up to Mac sleeping on Brenna’s side of the bed… too cute.

Hit my limit with this day at about 2:30pm. Checked out completely - walked dogs 1.25miles, made pork tenderloin w: cream Dijon mustard sauce, now playing Elite Dangerous Oreo in my lap, Jasper in the desk “inbox” mix of Queen, David Bowie and other favs from late 70s and early 80s too loud in ears

Brand new gallon jug of milk had a leak and leaked all over back of Subaru, but we have an excellent k-9 clean up crew.

Just got back from Portland and the NSA conference - running AV and IT for the whole deal. While I was gone Luna only came out enough so Brenna knew she was alive, as soon As I came back downstairs - there she was on the couch for snacks and cuddles.

My partner has reported that since I left to run the conference Luna has been sulking and not coming out except very briefly. I hope when I get back she gets back to the darling cuddler and occasional kitten play she has become recently.

It may be almost freezing out (33F @1pm) but the snow is gone… so cat yard officially open again. Until temps get over 50f only for a few hours a day after breakfast lunch and dinner… but the cats are all happy for it!

How the day started, how it mostly ended…
Grandson and my partner kneading and shaping the dough for pizza, then eating the result he helped make start to finish.

Peter leading 200 Rhode Islanders in an Irish (Irish Gaelic) folk song (welcome home the summer)

My favorite bits - talking about his sister Anne, The Clancy Brothers, Odetta. Tom Hill (Anne’s husband) from The Never Ending Story. Formative, unstructured years a wandering that shaped his career and life as a character actor. Some new stories some censored for public, some very familiar ones.

Attending an event supporting Edgewood Village feature a conversation with Peter Gerety. Peter is my partners uncle… We love talking with him, so many wonderful stories, especially of the Gerety kids growing up.
Pictured is Sorrel ( I adore her), his ex wife, introducing Peter.

Hey!!! Get out of there Oreo!!!
Sandy brought me donuts along with the iPad/shop register I need to setup to ship out tomorrow. Oreo seems to think he is “entitled” to a share since he is “supervising” the setup process.

Ugh!!! Flashbacks to the COD father!!! He destroyed a good friend’s PhD effort (trying to untangle the data corruption was impossible) so cringe!

I do love the rotunda area of the RI Statehouse… architecturally, and artistically

At RI Statehouse for a different bill, but right repair bill being introduced (RI SB 2487) I nearly bit through my tongue trying to stay silent while John Deer, Xerox and Caterpillar reps all misrepresented and even, arguably, lied to the Committee.

Every dang day, every project I start. It is at times crippling, but it is always there… a mind gremlin.

Luna (our precious female feline) is so funny… she started stealing nibbles of cheese from me. Became part of our nightly “date”. Turns out she does NOT like Gruyère. She likes Colby jack, Loves Vermont cheddars both sharp and mild, but her favorite is Vermont cheddar aged 5yrs (also most $$$)

I think I may be going insane. I keep bouncing from metal covers of 70s & 80s rock (à la Frog Leap Studios) to Scottish Irish English folk songs to Trombone Shorty & Jon Batiste doing New Orleans. I mean I love all those styles but all back to back?can’t avoid it so might as well enjoy the ride!

People on my street (a relatively busy one) hadn’t cleared sidewalk yet so we had to cross country through this stuff as deep as Mac! (2.5’ BEFORE plow drifts)
