A picture of a rather dilapidated copy of "The picture of Dorian Gray" There is visible water damage to the cover and the plastic cover is yellowing. Obviously, not evident from the picture but there is a truly foul musty smell emanating from it!

Last week, a gentleman returned this rather dilapidated copy of this famous book to us after 50 years. He had found it in his attic!
Presumably this means there is a pristine copy somewhere in our libraries....

I think a lot depends on location. Im in a big city with a teaching hospital just a couple of miles away. GP tends to pack us off there for all sorts and medical students offen sit in on surgeries. I imagine a surgery without such close links it is different. #TheArchers

My experience was the same, the breast cancer service on the NHS is excellent. There is no point in the GP doing any tests as referral is so quick. It took less than a month from referral to operation when I found a lump. #TheArchers

I think your case is very unusual Jane, its the breast clinic who do the tests at first appointment. What is good is that the wait is usually very short, 2 weeks is average. #TheArchers
