"Born Again" may be my all-time favorite storyline . . .
but the Ann Nocenti, JRJr., Al Williamson run on Daredevil is my all-time favorite long run on the character. Without hesitation.
Cover of THE PUNISHER original mini-series tpb. The Punisher holds a beautiful woman in one arm while firing an Uzi with his left hand, the ghostly image of Jigsaw looming behind him. Painted by Mike Zeck.

Incredibly so. Yes.
I think, as you stated for yourself, the fact that this was the FIRST anime many of us (of a certain age) saw made it quite special.
This was epic, appointment TV! I was lucky — living in rural Maine — to be in a town right on the Canadian border, so that I could watch it on CBC in the afternoons. I never missed an episode.
Fantastic! I loved these!
Such a great feeling!
Congrats!
