I love my favorite city and home, NYC, even when it’s for work. I taped a segment of a documentary w/CNN on the Black Birthing Crisis but first met for brunches/my brotha Dr. Dennis Taylor.

Yesterday was a busy but so fulfilling. In the morning, I had the honor of being interviewed by Mark Anthony Neal. Met w/a research team of OB/Gyns and an oral historian to discuss reproductive justice (RJ), & served on a panel discussing Jennifer Nash’s brilliant book Birthing Black Mothers.

Tomorrow I will give the 2023 Boyarsky Lecture at Duke University. I hope to see you there.
