If average Joe says Gaming then whatever but in an industry context "Gaming" here (aus) has always meant casinos/mobile gambling games.

So either it's to appeal to people outside of game development or they're diluting the focus of GDC. Or maybe some new marketing person though it sounded cool 🤷
