The WRU has created complete chaos with this entire process, most of which could have been avoided if they had been honest and transparent, especially about the finances. Just about everything they have stated as fact has been discredited, and they have given no one any reason to trust them.

It doesn’t tell us if any form of due diligence was done on the offer ahead of the exclusivity period. The continued lack of transparency from a sporting governing body is very concerning, as is the complete lack of an actual plan to reduce to 3 regions.

Being brutal about this - the statement tells us absolutely nothing except that the deal isn’t going ahead. Doesn’t give the reasons why not; doesn’t explain why Y11 were chosen as the bid to enter into an exclusivity period;

Absolutely this. The evidence will be there; it won’t be hard to find - might be a bit more challenging to unravel stuff to identify beneficial owners etc, and then there would be the money laundering charges - laundering the proceeds to crime etc.

Not completely - using an outside agency to find replacements for RCK and Wall is going to be costly and exposes the lack of succession planning for both; I also have a lot of questions about RCK’s role - non Exec Chair, so why was he dealing so directly with the regions etc?!?
