Absolutely
Almost everything we argue about is a substitute for the thing we should be arguing about: the immense wealth & power of an oligarchic class, which captures governments, ruins lives and wrecks the living planet.
This class redirects our rage at scapegoats. To resist its lies is to resist its power.
The final irrefutable piece of evidence that someone is in fact a goth is when they deny that they’re a goth.
Can we just try out a matriarchy now please? I don’t feel like the current system is working out all that well for anybody
😆
We never will be. Disclosure is always “imminent”!
Radio-Activity is, as ever, a weird delight. Not Your Kind Of People is somewhat uneven but redeemed by a few undeniably vintage examples of the Garbage of old: the title track, Man On A Wire, and Beloved Freak are all brilliant.

A 21st century adaptation of the 10 of Swords. A woman lies on her side in a desolate landscape impaled by 10 swords, only she doesn't seem to notice her predicament as her attention is on the cell phone she is holding.
I've had this image tucked away on my hard drive for the past ten years. I found it again a couple of days ago and what do you know, - nothing has changed.
The 10 of Swords, - the 21st century version.

No no, I mean the album overall is quite good, quite mixed in terms of content really. That particular song is great, I think it’s the first track (deservedly)
Ooh, I know this one! It was on “Nick Cave’s influences” cd that a MOJO reader at work gave me years ago…quite good actually, I wonder if I’ve still got it??

Not any more, but I grew up in Caterham and lived in Croydon for a few years!
Are you saying you would be more of a twat if you were prepared to put the effort in?
I’m pretty sure everyone’s got an appropriate song post ready to go
At school it was common knowledge that if you swallowed chewing gum it would “stick your insides together”
“The 50p Building” in Croydon.
It fascinates me now much they could fit into such small parcels of time. Misfits and Wire also.
I so agree with the person who commented on YouTube to the effect that “the hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo bit should happen more than once”
I was hoping to find the Xmal Deutschland Peel Sessions album, maybe later eh
It’s still perfect, amazing really
Packets of all four flavours of Nik Naks, together in a shop
This might not translate globally, but for UK people, this is like seeing the Beatles reform
