Five years ago, Donald Trump tried to overturn the results of a free and fair election by inciting the violence that led to the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Today, his attacks on our democracy continue. We must learn from that day and do everything we can to ensure it never repeats.

With the retirement of Marjorie Taylor Greene, and the passing of LaMalfa, it looks like the GOP no longer holds a working majority until his seat is filled. It’s at 217. They need 218 for a majority.

The destruction doesn't make for a photo-op like tearing down the East Wing of the White House or bulldozing the Rose Garden, but it's every bit as bad. Generations of American children learned to spell and count, learned the Preamble to the Constitution, from watching shows produced by the CPB.

The Supreme Court just escalated the redistricting war. Congress must end it. - The Boston Globe The best solution would be to increase the size of the House of Representatives from its current 435 members.

435 isn’t a magic constitutional number. Congress can and should enlarge the size of the House. But it won’t.
