Yeah, I get that. It’s just frustrating that whenever you bring up anything like universal healthcare so many people start screaming socialism.

I agree they’re not socialist, but when we in America want to put in a safety net such as healthcare Republicans immediately start crying socialism.

But do you recognize there’s a difference between Soviet socialism and something more to the Scandinavian countries today? Because way too many people on the right lump the word socialism under a single umbrella.

California has 40 million people. Cannot they come up with a bell cow?

And much of the best of who we are comes from cross pollination.

Sociopaths walk amongst us.

So easy

I now do everything in my power to order directly from responsible companies and avoid the Amazon go-between. It's been working out well. My Amazon purchases are down 95% in recent months. I've even started to buy more books from @bookshop.org who now has their own e-reader app I use on my phone.

The problem isn’t innocent until proven guilty. This is a necessity always. The problem is that the powerful rarely face the same justice as everyone else. That’s what needs fixed, and unfortunately none of us have easy answers. It seems to be built into the human psyche to bow down to the powerful.

I doubt Trump has spent a minute of his life being cool, while Sinatra spent not a minute not being cool. Phrases come and go, it’s not the words he uses or doesn’t use, it’s his complete lack of humanity.
