YouTube keeps feeding me anti-DPA ads that are all trying to play on my sympathy to older people who won’t be able to afford their medication deliveries and I’m sorry, but the Duane Reade will still deliver your prescriptions for free. This is about paying deliveristas for the work they do.

I know it’s not a solution to everything here, but you can get adult boosters for all of the childhood vaccines, and if you haven’t done this at least once as an adult, get your titers checked (or just get a new shot without doing that).
This is also why “whisper networks” end up developing as a way to warn people away from predators in less formalistic ways, and why “everyone knew” so and so was a predator for years without anyone being willing to go on record (think Weinstein).
Kate Sills @katelynsills.com Statutory law is code written in natural language and running on human beings, albeit with a quirky and backwards engineering culture. But that doesn't mean it's not code. Even case law is like a collection of software engineering test cases. 1:58 PM • April 10, 2026 2 Reskeets 4 Quotes 7 Likes
Finally had to block her once she started in on the pure name calling so here’s a screenshot of her post for posterity.
I was wondering where this lady disappeared to and now I see she’s being dog walked by @kathryntewson.bsky.social, so I’m just gonna sit back and grab some 🍿
I also worked for Thelen Reid and Priest, and at least one partner I knew there had been at Finley Kumble when it collapsed. Just bankruptcies all the way down.
Hey ladies! What’s your “girly” job?
Mine is AVP/Counsel at a F500 company.
I guess it sucks for you that you, individually, are responsible for everything wrong in the United States because you didn’t [waves arms] DO MOAR.
Exactly. I know part of the bargain of being a well-compensated lawyer is working a lot of hours, but the *emotional* investment I had in that job was meaningless in the end.
Also even if you do work the extra hours it’s no guarantee! I dedicated years of my life and even moved overseas for a time to do work for a major law firm. And then I got laid off in the early stages of this.

Of course, the actual solution to this is immigration.
Just thinking about how much fun Katie Honan is having after four years of Eric Adams refusing to ever answer questions except in his once-a-week designated press conference.
The fundamental error of any of this is the assumption that practicing law is the application of a defined code or contract provision to a set of circumstances, whereas 90% of my job is...not that.
the fact that you don't understand the very simple parameters bluesky provides to be able to reply to me doesn't really bode well for your technical expertise, much less your nonexistent legal expertise.
this is just gibberish. bsky.app/profile/katelynsills.com...
I mean, we just recently had a bunch of law professors proclaiming to the S.Ct. that the 14th doesn't mean what its plain language and over a century of precedent says it says, but sure, the "law" is just a set of rules that can be coded!
It's not about "ambiguity". It's about the exercise of judgement. which no "code" can quantify.
In NYC, every apartment with a renovated kitchen is a “luxury” apartment.
It’s just…no!
Heck, I hate the guy, but if Giuliani couldn’t get through a GOP primary in the wake of 9/11, no one else was gonna do it.

OH NO. 🤦♀️
Hah! I’ve been saying for at least a year that no other candidate seems to understand that “mayor of NYC” is a terminal position. The last time someone went on to higher office, it was still Reconstruction. bsky.app/profile/very-simple.com/...
It’s a block party day. I’m getting absolutely spammed with “Gaza charity” accounts today which are all the exact same post and photos but with different handles.
Agree - I would also say that Mamdani actually wants to be mayor, unlike the last half dozen or so guys who all viewed it (wrongly!) as a stepping stone to the presidency, so he actually cares about doing this job.
the year is 2026. you're a jewish american woman. the world leader you most respect is the catholic pope. everything's fine.
The lady of the waters angel statue sitting on top of the multi-leveled fountain at Bethesda Terrace in Central Park. She was considered scandalous at the time because you could see her ankles.
In addition to stealing the NYPL lions, I’m guessing the only angel he can think of is the one on top of Bethesda Fountain?
Just a constant stream of “Let’s fix all the petty annoyances that drive you up a wall every day”. Each individual thing he does here is ‘easy’, but it also makes you ask “why didn’t any of the previous mayors manage to do it?”
The most offensive part (aside from all of it) is where he basically plagiarizes Patience and Fortitude, especially because he doesn’t know how to read. www.nypl.org/about/history/library-li...
I’m TRYING to not have a parasocial relationship with my mayor but I’m having a real hard time with it.
(Also love that the NYT coverage of Mamdani is basically “but he hasn’t solved literally every problem NYC took decades to accumulate in his first 100 days”. )
