My dad, the absolute centre of my world, suffered a stroke on Tuesday evening, killing his brain stem. Essentially, he's not there anymore, but basic functions continue. We're waiting for his body to pass, but don't know how long that will take. Wherever he is, I hope he found mum again.

Cancer wasn't even on the radar for mum. It came up in bloodwork for something else. We never expected it, and less than two months later, she was gone.

Cancer is insidious, it's so easy to miss or dismiss until it's too late.

This is good news. And no, poor families do NOT have to have Netflix to access Sesame Street. Netflix will release episodes to PBS the *same day* they drop on Netflix, which is significantly better than the prior deal with HBO, which delayed episodes for 9 MONTHS before porting them over to PBS.
