This bill recognizes the real and lasting impact that traumatic experiences can have and ensures that first responders are treated with dignity, compassion, and fairness when they need it most.

Today, I proudly signed the First Responders Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Protection Act into law, providing employment protections for paid first responders diagnosed with PTSD.

It has been the highest honor of my life to serve as Governor to the nine-and-a-half million New Jerseyans who call our great state home.

From improving reliability and on-time performance to replacing every single outdated bus and rail car in NJ TRANSIT’s fleet by 2031, we have set in motion a renaissance for the nation’s third-largest public transit system.

As our state’s commuters will be quick to tell you: NJ TRANSIT is not yet where it needs to be. But it is also lightyears ahead of where it was.

Before I entered office, the last time New Jersey received a credit rating upgrade was in 2005.

In the past three years, we have secured NINE credit rating upgrades. By contrast, the prior administration had 11 credit rating downgrades.

Today, it gives me great pride to say: We have lived up to that promise. We made the full payment into our state’s pension system FIVE years in a row — and for the first time in a generation.

At a time when New Jersey is ascendant, there is only one thing that can stand in our way – and that is ourselves.

We cannot repeat the mistakes of the past. That is why, when I entered office in 2018, I promised to turn things around as Governor.

New Jersey is quickly becoming THE global destination for film and television production.

@netflix.com. @lionsgate.com. @paramountpics.bsky.social: some of the biggest names in the business. And they are all putting down roots in the Garden State.

We have set New Jersey on course to a cleaner, more sustainable future.

A future where we meet our responsibility to combat climate change while also creating new sources of affordable, reliable energy that lower costs in the long-term.

And in the years since then — at a time when extremist politicians have put a target on the backs of women — we have firmly established New Jersey as a safe haven for reproductive freedom.

When the Supreme Court launched an unprecedented assault on reproductive rights, we — in New Jersey — fought back.

Months before the Court issued its dreadful Dobbs decision, we took action and codified the right to abortion.

In fact, just this past November, we saw more voters turn out in a gubernatorial election than ever before!

From expanding early in-person voting to restoring voting rights to more than 80,000 people on probation or parole and establishing automatic voter registration, we have helped a record number of eligible voters turn out to cast their ballots.
