“So...” Ava talks first and nervously rocks her body back and forth. “Well, as I was saying, I can’t give you my phone number while at work,” Beatrice states again. Ava is about to accept her fate when Beatrice talks again. “But, I get off of work at 3,” she sounds nervous and, in an out-of-character way, she starts to ramble, “I mean, you don’t have to, I just thought it’d solve a problem, although it’s not the best option either, I’ll have to run to class at 3 and won’t have time to talk to you, assuming that’s what you want but if-” “I’d love to run to class with you,” Ava thankfully interrupts her, making them both nervously chuckle. They look at each other in silence, letting their smiles talk for themselves when Ava’s phone starts to vibrate. “Shoot, I forgot about Mary. My friend, she’s waiting for me,” Ava doesn’t want to leave but knows Mary will kill her. She doesn’t know how, but she managed to get late for one hour. Beatrice seems disappointed but understands Ava has to go. “I’ll see you at three?” Ava asks, hoping Beatrice isn’t regretting her invitation. “I’ll see you at 3.”
