Good. Of course all other clubs than us get the new manager bounce, but perhaps now it wears off before it is our turn? Or maybe their players check out for the season, look ahead to the summer, and aim to impress the new guy incoming then?

You made the right turn. I kept smashing my head into the wall hoping to get through.

They probably would love to drag us deeper into the swamp with them for sure.
True, but then on the other hand: Apart from City, history and easy games have been more or less thrown out the window for us this season. We should take it as an opportunity. Let’s embrace the turmoil and beat Chelsea at the Bridge while we’re at it.
Oooof. Well, I will at least be something new to see them meatwall own goals.
Agreed. I'll actually go so far as "much better". Next game is the true must-win again. I don't know how many times I've said that this season...
😆
I don't
Yes, they do. I think we have the slightly easier run in.
Do they hate us too?
As it stands now, we only need to match the remaining results for WH and win one where WH draws - unless some of the other games really mess up current goal difference. There is actually a chance, still.
That was a dreadful game of football that somehow ended up not too bad for Spurs. A positive surprise! #COYS
Hope not. It is a dreadful game. Both should be relegated instead of spurs.
I thought about something similar when I saw another today, post on Parrott maybe wanting to come back to spurs. You know, the GIF of the Parrott bobbing its head. I resisted. Proud of myself.
And thanks for another great pod. Listened to it on my hike just now. I like the sober optimism and felt better about things afterwards. Now, go Brennan!
Well, we’re not Safe from harm, that’s for sure.
Brennan hattrick incoming then. One last hurrah.
(Still, would be sort of convenient if West Ham end up losing later tonight....)
I agree. Two year suspension for Gabriel. Accumulated punishment for trying to ruin the game all season.
Followed by a wave of condemnation from pundits and commentators.
If that was Romero we’d already have some spurs fans arguing he got the red on purpose to save up for the world cup.
As a mental exercise, try to image if that had been Romero and not Gabriel.
I just love that he tore away from Gabriel to score that goal.
I don’t like City. I hope they’ll be punished for all their financial doping. But I love what Cherki just did.
Kevin Danso has been subjected to racist abuse that is criminal, dehumanising and completely unacceptable. This happened during No Room for Racism weekend. The irony is not lost on us. Proud Lilywhites stands with Kevin, without qualification. Racism has no place in our club, in football, or anywhere else. To the people who did this: you are Spurs fans. That makes this worse, not better. What do you think you're gaining? Racism isn't passion, it isn't frustration, it's targeting a man's humanity, not his football. What you have done is a criminal offence and we hope you face the consequences. To X, Instagram and the other platforms: this is on you too. You have the tools to act. The fact that players are still being subjected to this level of abuse tells us everything about your priorities. Do better. Much better. We are one community. All together, always.
We stand in solidarity with Kevin Danso.
Thank you! It is a split second decision. Defender awareness includes knowing the other guy is right there and could take advantage of a proper swing of the leg. 9/10 times Danso makes the attempt to receive and shepherd the ball to safety.
Where did you meet and did you happen to see a spooky-looking fella with a scythe there too?
Where was Sarr today by the way? Not on the bench - dropped entirely or injured?
The game today was so much better in so many ways. We scored two great goals from open play. But in line with our inability to catch a break all season: Both of Brighton’s goals came well into extra time. #COYSky
He was. And not at least given he was just back in training. Bentancur is very good at the short exchanges, quick turns and hides where his pass will go. His calm on the ball draws pressure and opens up spaces.
