One final point here for members of the PC caucus at Queen’s Park to consider: they are being asked this week to vote to make it easier for the premier to make decisions behind closed doors, and to lock those doors even more firmly. Government House Leader Steve Clark has presented a motion to whip the budget measures bill through the legislature without committee hearings, including the section that will eviscerate Ontario’s freedom of information laws. Many in this government find journalists and their insistence on factual answers annoying, fine. But the events of the last few days are a reminder that a culture of insularity and secrecy is bad for governments, and Tories might want to ask whether leaning into that dysfunction is really what they need right now.

Absolutely! And the difference between those e-bikes and the pedal assist bikes (also referred to as e-bikes) is huge. The high-powered bikes that run on a motor and don't need to be pedalled must be treated like motorcycles.

mRNA vaccines continue to show major promise.

In a small Phase 1 trial led by Dr. Balachandran, some patients with pancreatic cancer (one of the deadliest cancers) reached 6-year survival.

This is why sustained investment in science & research matters.

I just hate the way public services / crown corps (Canada Post, etc) are treated in the media. Is it generally better to spend less? Sure. Is a crown corp intended to be profitable? lmao no

“I’m the Premier that listens to the people” - Doug Ford, April 20, 2026.
Put that in your back pocket. Throw it in his face at will.

Bitch, you went from a wanting a souped up camper van to feeling you deserve a private plane. Show us your damn phone records, bitch. And your mandate letters. Also, you need more scrutiny. Much more. Clinical scrutiny. A catheter of scrutiny. A colonoscopy of scrutiny. An IV drip of scrutiny.

Let’s not be distracted by #GravyPlaneFord ‘s other antics. He’s going to retroactively change freedom of information (FOI) laws to hide his cellphone data, after the court ruled he must provide those records.

He doesn’t want to be associated with the aptly coined Gravy Plane. Would be a shame if we continued to use it. A crying shame #GravyPlaneFord www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Public outrage WORKS. Ford is selling the jet!

Me: it's telling that he hasn't FLIPPED on changing the FOI rules that will RETROACTIVELY exempt him, his cabinet and staff from all FOI requests, including his cell logs. What's IN THEM that he needs to hide?

Before travelling to #Iran on an 11 day reporting trip journalist #DimitriLascaris contacted 200+ Canadian media outlets and proposed filing stories for them. Only one expressed interest but never followed up. I spoke to him on my @ricochetmedia.bsky.social podcast.

Carbon tax stickers that don't stick. License plates you can't see. Beeping Covid bracelets that don't exist. Wind turbines torn down and then built again. An Ontario Science Centre roof that refuses to collapse.

Are we even sure Doug's new private jet has wings?

I need you to understand that there’s actually one very big reason making up a huge part of why everything sucks now: monopolies. Or, more accurately, oligopolies.

That’s why so many people are excited about the Ticketmaster decision that just happened.

But it’s the tip of the iceberg:
