Also really liked the Judith Tucker paintings, who's new to me. Photos don't do them justice

Caprice in Yellow Minor - Atkinson Grimshaw
I liked this - part of an exhibition in Leeds art gallery at the moment
It's nicely produced though.
Haven't tried the roll n write. There's also Ratzia I noticed in travelling man today but don't know too much about
Yes as far as I know the same rules. I think they aimed to improve user design to help play, and it's more vivid and chunky pieces. But I often like the muted/beige look of old games too!
I enjoy the look of this older version of Ra (I have the newer one)
One of the mysteries of modern football: why aren't subs already dressed and ready to come on
I really enjoyed both of these too.
He really was!
A big tired friendly dog carrying his soft toy
Murphy, a very lovely tired dog we met in Masham the other day. He lies outside his owner's shop/gallery and is never without his soft toy #dogs
Good news 🦅
Cover of How to Make a Bomb: a novel, by Rupert Thomson, showing a kind of cartoony explosion
Always been a fan of Rupert Thomson's books and enjoyed this newest one - a peculiar story about an otherwise privileged man who seemingly descends into some kind of midlife crisis
Wall Graffiti reading Dr. T.
My congratulations to B. A. Baracus for successfully defending his dissertation!
A campaign to make it illegal to have seasons 1 & 2 of a TV drama on different streaming services - who's in 😠🪧
BA (Hons) Baracus
It is isn't it. Also appealing that it's just 10.5%. Was a spur of the moment one in Waitrose, thought it was worth a try.

Fox on the pavement close by under streetlight
Same fox now having a sit down on a driveway
And bumped into a nice fox on the way home 🦊
Age of Rail South Africa cover - lovely art
Age of Rail in game
Paris, a quick almost chess-like duel
A piece on the Paris la Cité de la Lumière board - Moulin Rouge dancer
Last night's games. A first play of Age of Rail South Africa, which I loved, where you're buying shares in growing railroad companies, and the little brain burner Paris la Cité de la Lumière #boardgames
My first thought was follow the money and he must have some link to the US businessmen who own the club, but maybe it was more straightforward!
Thanks for the info. Hope you continue to enjoy it. I'm tempted to add it to my list!
Did I read that his red against Real the other week was the first red card of his career? Incredible.

Beautiful day today in Leeds
I like the look of Bella Vista - at first look it looks a bit like Tower Up which I played & enjoyed at last year's Airecon, maybe mixed with a bit of Foundations of Rome/metropolis which I also like!
David Morrissey is brilliant in Gone. Recommend if you're looking for a crime drama.
Admittedly very much a side issue but the inconsistency of his names always bothers me. Should be Nick Tim or Nicholas Timothy only.
Crokinole, the old Canadian flicking game and one of the world's best games
Atiwa, a game about bat conservation in Ghana by one of the great designers Uwe Rosenberg
Cooperative plane flying game Sky Team
Whitehall Mystery detectives trying to track down the bad guy Scotland Yard style
Airecon in Harrogate this weekend, always one of the absolute highlights of the year. Crokinole, Atiwa, Sky Team, Whitehall Mystery among some of my favourites we played this year #boardgames #airecon
Creamy green matcha in a big yellow cup
A pleasing looking matcha at the Bowery in Headingley 🍵🌱
National security and Farage is such a genuine concern that it's odd other parties haven't yet pushed it (in the way Corbyn was challenged on it). Get him on that and the economy.
A growing landscape of different habitats and animals like hawks, salmon and bears on the tabletop
Had a nice Sunday afternoon game of Cascadia yesterday with my daughter. Each turn you're adding a land tile and animal token to your map, trying to make big areas of the same landscapes while also scoring the different criteria for the animals #boardgames
