Here I go, diving into implementing a server for a #Godot game in C++ with GDExtension.

Grand Strategy games tend towards complexity, but I don't see any reason why you couldn't have one that's relatively simple and quicker to play.

Is there any practical reason #pixelart color palettes usually have powers of 2 as their color count?

This is one of the issues we had with my group's recent Valheim server.
The game itself is awesome, but anyone joining late is way behind and getting stomped by tough monsters that wouldn't be there if they were on a fresh world.
Catching them up means they miss out on playing a lot of the game too
