My word association mine goes:
Cubular - tubular - bells
Cubic - pubic - lice

Not sure which is worse really

My right wing family, all Mail readers, are obsessed with immigration. It is the root of all evils, from failing town centres to youth unemployment.

When I suggested that billionaire media moguls might be pushing an agenda, and that it's all a distraction tactic, their brains seized up.

Place ruins all flour-based products from anywhere else forever. I'm now cursed with having to spend a fiver on a loaf of bread and six quid on a cake that's big enough for two but of course I eat it myself.

That final sentence though

The EU isn't Europe though. If the EU are using "Europe", then the scheme should include all countries in Europe.

The EU should change the nomenclature. *Then* they can rightly ignore us!

The restaurant at this hotel in Darjeeling, which has a bit of Lakes theme going, is called Wuthering Bites.

I don't know which is worse, the pun or the wrong hills!

The summer Olympics events I could try, even if me running 200m would be a mistake.

Every single winter Olympics event would cause injury or death to me.

Respect to these titans, they're all astonishing people.

I do agree, but there is an important economic point: a rational government should incentivise the transfer of money from a rich old person who won't spend it, to a young person who will. There are many cases where this increase in economic activity trumps the immediate tax take.

I can't help but be concerned for the driver though - his mind must have just broken, losing all rationality. I realise he's not the main victim, but still...

I mean for a milli I'd get the cover of Tubular Bells tattooed on my slaphead

I absolutely get that, it's just that such derived citizenship is of surprisingly (to me) low value, as it can be removed from you with no recourse.

Although it's probably the same with human rights, which will be removed from me when a right wing government gets into office in the UK.

There needs to be another word for it; my EU citizenship was taken from me by the actions of others. I felt more European than British, but it was not something I could keep after Brexit.

True citizenship should not be subject to the whims of others.

I just watched it (insomnia ftw). There is no 'normal' dialogue, it's just all exposition. It's a fictional documentary.

2025 has given us a Citizen Kane, written by, for and about AI.

@robmanuel.b3ta.com should do this

They caught it from Christopher Nolan, but it mutated into something much worse

Morally it seems wrong, sure, but I don't really think that credit card companies can play the moral card (nor did they here).

That said it (and similar cases) will be factored into overall costs, profit levels will be maintained so Joe Public pays. Kinda.

There won't, but it must be said that Cameron's apology was one of the few high points of the Tory administration

I could see the new babies of family members I didn't much care about. Lovely.

Then I started seeing their political memes, and I deleted my account.

Integrity and talent, kinda shocking she went into politics really, total misfit there

She was found to have broken the ministerial code. Had to go.

Sure, it's nothing like the drastic levels of corruption in the last Tory government, but that doesn't absolve her, sadly.

I have no doubt she'll be back, and I hope it's in an even more senior position!

STOP TELLING ME WHAT NIGEL FARAGE HAS SAID I SIMPLY DO NOT WANT TO KNOW

That I can't simply say to my phone: "where are the eggs?", and for it to know which supermarket I'm in and hence immediately report which aisle, is a clear indication that AI is nothing of the sort.

Might need government to force lenders to allow a move to a similar geared property for such people that need to move

This property owner says: fantastic. There would be little better for our society than a drop in house prices of 50%.

PFI existed because Treasury created arbitrary rules and then followed then slavishly. That needs to change, but it's not looking likely.

The most important change must surely be to move care costs of the elderly and disabled from local to national government.

Then so much more of the local government budget will be for local services, thus hugely increasing accountability.
