It was absolutely freezing today but look how pretty the sky was this morning

Anyway there's some lore about me.
I can't get my kidney function back and last year the function had dropped massively from previous years where it had held steady.
I'm currently running at 50% function.
At 34 years of age.

I am due a check soon as it's almost been 12 months since the last one.

My current GP has apologised on behalf of those who ignored me and let me get unwell to the degree I have lasting problems, but that doesn't give me back the five years I lost dealing with the headaches and other issues. It doesn't give me my full kidney function back.

BUT...
I am happy to be alive

My vision is mostly healed and I cried the first time I realised I could read a book and the words not being jumping all over the page because my eyes were so damaged. I had to look at one of these at the eye doctors.
I was worse than the second image. That's how bad my eyes were.

Basically I had what they call cotton wool spots on my eyes, and I was colourblind in one eye.
My optic nerve was swollen. I still have a blind spot in the centre of my vision in my left eye. But that is a small price to pay considering I was rapidly going blind over a two week period.

I saw every GP at the local practice and not one of them checked my blood pressure. I was sent for x-rays, MRIs and given painkillers.

The funny thing is once I started taking high dose ibuprofen that's when my vision started going bad, and I had to see the optician...

I cannot remember the exact blood pressure I had but I was 220 over I want to say 180? Basically I was lucky I was able to do anything.
Over 5 years of headaches, starting only on the week of my period to eventually being every single day. Being stuck in bed, having pressure so bad I would throw up

I had headaches for years and the doctors always make me sound like I was crazy.
Got to the point where the headaches were daily, I started losing vision and the opticians had to send me to the hospital. But I'm alive.

I'm still on meds 6 years later. Oh and my kidneys are damaged.

I finished Expedition 33 over a week ago and the soundtrack has been playing on my Spotify non stop. I can't get enough of it
