Starting my journey into Warhammer TTRPGs, and I feel like I opened a stuffed cupboard and everything tumbled out on top of me. Who put all this in here? I've been watching YouTube videos and reading, and it's like I'm cramming for an exam for a subject I never took lessons in, haha.

Mothership is a lot of fun, I have only played once as I'm usually running stuff on that night. The game I was in was a lot of fun, need to lean in to the setting/atmosphere.
We've done a CoC campaign, or 3, I'm running Forbidden Lands, we also have Dragonbane, Mythic Bastionlands, Mothership, I run the odd Maze Rats one shot as well. On other servers I'm running PF2e, Dragonbane, and 5e. Playing in Stars Without Numbers. GURPS has been recommended to me, looks fun.
I've only been playing for 3-4 years, the server I started on tries new systems all the time. The more seasoned players are the ones who lead that, and everyone else has picked that up. I do know folks who just like one system, but most will play anything if it sounds fun.
Thursday group is finishing up Shattered Obelisk in the next few weeks. So will my Dragonbane, Forbidden Lands, and Pathfinder games. I'm lining up The Walking Dead from Free League, Street Wolves in SWADE. Should I add Deadlands, Vaesen or more 5e?
1 dead - 1 rallied, lost teeth - 1 had 1 HP was hit twice for 1 dmg but had 1 armour - 1 was mostly fine. Soooo much trouble over 2 gold! I just wanted a social interaction with the thugs to warn them of the local gangs.
They set up, see a group of 4 in the dried riverbed, and ambush them. They take out one enemy in the first round, but then the other 4 appear, following the path on the river bank.
They kill the thugs, but let 1 escape, then take a 10 min break before going back to the same town to sell their loot. The gang boss is at the town gates directing groups of 8 to go out and hunt them so they run. Fail the bushcraft roll, get lost while chased, decide to ambush the thugs.
Sunday Dragonbane report, player wants to be a thief, rolls a demon while searching for a mark. I have some guys warn him off. Next time they leave town, I have the local thugs shake them down for 2 gold, as tax for trying to work their turf.
Just finished session 0 of our groups second run at Stars Without Numbers. All PCs are based on Keanu characters named some version of John. I'm running PF2e Abomination Vaults tomorrow, last session we had a goblin sniper riding a druid giant shark. Sunday I'm running a Dragonbane campaign.
They're a good group, all very experienced with various systems. Solid RP as well as funny.
I signed up for a course to write a Call of Cthulhu one-shot, and I gave up. However, I've easily written stuff for Darker Malleus, Dragonbane and others... Darker Malleus was my favourite as I had my players tied up in knots about moral decisions until they burned a whole village alive.

They managed to sneak past the giant spiders to find the foreman, learning that the mine had found a rich gold vein in a deep chasm. The foreman died to a spider, the group fled, and returned to town. They convinced the mine owner the spiders had taken over the place, bought it cheap, and got rich.
Finally the mine was in front of them, and after luring some hobgoblins into the sun for a massacre, they tackled the cave troll. Two of the party died bravely, or screaming, depending on who tells the tale. Fortunately, 2 adventuring types were working as miners and hiding nearby, so they won!
They camped, they hunted, they feasted, they shared peppermint candy the bard was using in his sling. One of the scholars rolled a dragon on their watch, catching the eye of a sneaky goblin over 200m away, through complete darkness, they simply shook their head and scared them off.
The journey took 2 days, an incident with a brook horse having them flee, bit they tricked a toll trolley to let them cross its bridge in exchange for a "magic" pewter tankard that makes ale taste better. They then found an empty campsite, and the reason the troll was compliant, having a full belly.
The crazy peddler was dismissed as insane, the road to the next town over doesn't have skeletons and giant spiders marauding it. If anyone had come that way they would confirm that, shockingly nobody had. So they decided to help the silver mine owner, nothing to do with the hefty reward.
Our plucky wolfkin recruited the two scholars for their smarts, and the group begrudgingly allowed the geriatric bard to join them so he could write a poem about them. The newly married couple who had not been heard from, after moving to the swamp, were ignored for being idiots who live in a swamp.
Dragonbane one shot was a blast, I over-prepped, and we ran over by 45 mins. I had them start in an Inn, yeah, I know, with 3 groups asking the guards for help, and they got to step in and take on one task.
Tonight is session 1 of Prey for Death in PF2e, so I'm fairly excited to see how the new PCs come together. My DMing schedule is kinda crazy right now, 5 games across 4 systems.
While Dragonbane went smoothly, and my one shot is coming together, I also had session 0 from Forbidden Lands. This did not go so smoothly, entirely on me, as I stepped in last minute and could not prepare much. I've also never played the system, nevermind the game, so it's a learning curve.
Still from Disney's Robin Hood (1973), in which Skippy lunges with his little wooden sword hollering "DEATH TO TYRANTS!"

Eat the Reich had great art as well, loads of talented folks out there - not me, but other folks, haha.
I backed this so fast my mouse got whiplash.
Makes sense, I love that game as well, and the art adds to that so well. Thanks for the info.
I'm not someone to post often, but I just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying Dragonbane. Quick character creation, easy to run combat, and, most importantly, my players are engaged. Need to get more art in that style to max out my token collection.

I use Maze Rats as an introduction to ttrpgs for flexibility and simplicity. I make a city map with areas, then I get them to name/describe a zone each - they invest more. Randomly roll characters, then ask why they are looking for work, this usually creates an antagonist or goal.
