The United Farm Workers condemns the violence against our comrade David Huerta, the President of SEIU California and SEIU-USWW, who was injured and detained while exercising his constitutional rights during an ICE raid in Los Angeles. Now more than ever, it is urgent for all working people in the United States to defend the immigrant workers who contribute so much to our country. ICE waited until a woman’s lawyer went to the restroom then dragged her away. She fainted from stress and they dragged her unconscious body into the elevator, refusing medical attention.
