the exclusion of my trans sisters is an insult against what girlguiding stands for - empowering women, including everyone regardless of background and celebrating difference in our equality. this discrimination follows a misogynistic narrative that women and girls are determined-

i came out as a trans man last year, but i was not open about it to my unit until towards the end of the term, but not to leaders. i had seen girlguiding as a fond memory of my childhood and something to cherish.
with this new rule, i feel ashamed to be associated with this. -

ive seen the new rule declared by #girlguiding that bans trans women and girls from joining, and any current members, must leave by September. this is absolutely disgusting. sharing my thoughts.
to tell the truth, I'm formerly a member of girlguiding myself, ending my time recently as a ranger. 🧵-
