+1 for Octopus here, but that might trickier in an older home.

Heat Geek get absolutely rave reviews and have done a lot of work on post-install optimisation of their systems based on usage data.

Obviously a Shire delicacy that never reached as far as the halflings folk who lived along the Anduin’s valley!

It’s great to see these figures and helps put my own install into context. Currently at SPF of 3.86 since installation at the start of October.

Running on Intelligent Go, with HP set to be on 24/7, except the 4-7pm peak (a test to model Agile potential), HW in Go’s 7p off peak 👍🏻

It is an odd “add on” I have never fully understood. Looks like an extra £2.40 a month, which is 10 kWh at new prices. I think that is not a terrible trade off though.

Wow! I’m looking forward to this!

With the ASHP that is next to nothing for overnight hot water - the other half will enjoy many a long hot bath!

😬UK gas prices just hit highest level since 2022😬

At current prices…

* New wind & solar from latest "AR7" auction would cut the bill for UK gas imports by £5.5bn/y
* A single (1) home heat pump would cut bill for gas imports by more than £600/y

Yes, but no. It takes decades if not centuries for the tree to sequester the carbon. It takes minutes to burn it. Then the fossil fuels used to cut, chip, and transport it to the power station. It requires a LOT of trees…

I suspect if you don’t follow them, then more effective their advertising is… start following the account and their remedies will become less effective! 🤪

Yet here we are, talking about Ed Davey, the leader of the third largest party in Parliament. It’s a trivial topic I agree, but importantly we are not freaking out over the leader of a far smaller party selling cheap petrol. Which is nice! 😊

Slice of lost bread would be my guess!

I expect so, but Reform’s bloviating would ensure the ASHP would run at a high SCOP…

Even with my limited childhood experience of playing with Brio and utter lack of engineering education, I’m pretty certain you couldn’t keep a train on the tracks at 300 mph when taking those curves…
