Opinion | Has Marjorie Taylor Greene Really Seen the Light?

"But a rule breaker might break some rules for you. If you feel underemployed, underappreciated and under-capitalized, you don’t have a lot to lose by betting on the crude guy with the bad jokes." I saw this at work too, as I show in my book @tressiemcphd.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2025/11/26/o...

Baby names aren’t just personal choices; they reflect culture, geography, gender, identity, and as i've been investigating, politics too. I’ve been analyzing 50 years of U.S. baby naming to see how they map onto political polarization in the U.S.

I am such a fangirl of the journalist, Anne Helen Petersen. She writes honestly and with clarity about really complex and nuanced issues. I'm still pinching myself about the fact that she endorsed my book.

Buffering: The Unspoken Labor of Protective Managers Every organization relies on buffers: the managers who absorb chaos, protect their teams, and keep the gears turning. Their care holds things together, but also keeps broken systems intact.

My latest Work Fails post draws on Jackson Lamb from Apple's Slow Horses to explain the unspoken labor of protective managers. Check it out and share with others!

Trust is listed as a core value in workplaces, but it can often be weaponized Trust and loyalty are valued by employers, but these values can be used as weapons of control, as shown in the cases of the CDC's Susan Monarez and the FBI's James Comey.

I first met @allisonpugh.bsky.social on the page of her book, Longing and Belonging. I was instantly mesmerized by her writing and thinking. She offered a model of what I aspired to be as a sociologist.

So grateful to have her support now as I publish my first book!
