Our feature tutorial/artist for today is this simple yet GROUND-BREAKING idea by the brilliant @sputnik2nd (over on the blue bird)! Sometimes the KEY FORMS of ANATOMY can ELUDE us at CERTAIN ANGLES, and this is a great reminder that it's all just STACKING SHAPES! #manga #characterdesign #illustrate

Thank you! Very useful
Hahahaha thank you π you are so kind πππ
Our feature artist/tutorial today is this amazing PHONEME CHART by theendisnearus on deviantart (deviantart.com/theendisnearus). Great for ANIMATION, or if you draw COMICS, drawing your characters mouths in the shape of the LAST syllable in you SPEECH BUBBLE often works very well!
Thank you! π₯° I did this traditionally so I had to try something new hahaha
So pretty ππ

I'm kinda slow too. What you can do is post a close up of a wip if you want to keep posting something while you finish your pieces :)
If you see this, post your black & white artwork

These are beautiful! You do amazing work with ink β¨
Me too!!! For some reason, it's easier to create concept art with actual pencil and paper. With digital sketching, the ideas have a harder time flowing π€
What a mystery... I hope it doesn't happen again ><
I would setup a camera or something just in case π
Well... That's rude.
And here I was, telling myself that my social media anxiety was all in my head... And now I have to worry about being added to some random lists π₯²
Our feature artist/reference for today is this SIMPLY BRILLIANT gif on ANIMATING LOOPS by the amazing
@kinucakes.bsky.social The explanation of the differences here using those black line examples is pURE GENIUS! #gamedev #animation #animationdev #anime #manga #conceptart #characterdesign
I remember feeling like that when I started sharing my art too (yeaaars ago). It's definitely very heart-warming when other ppl welcome you into the community ^.^
I'm glad you feel comfortable now, and keep posting! Your art is lovely!
Very pretty! I love the magenta outline π
That's weird and creepy. Maybe a car accidentally hit it?
Oh that was a really good idea!!!
Thank you so much for your kind words π₯°
Your art always inspires me to (and reminds me of) drawing more men! Haha
And I was actually trying to imitate watercolors! π€£π€£π€£ I failed... But at least I got something that looked interesting π
Beautiful art style! And that last illustration is gorgeous! π I love how you drew the blue creature π₯°
A cyberpunk mad scientist grins at the viewer as she removes her lab coat.
A young woman smiles shyly at the viewer.
The vtuber NeediVT smiles at the viewer as she leads against a pillow full of star dust.
A young woman scratches at the chin of her dragon companion
Congratulations on 1900! And thank you so much for the art share opportunity!
My name is TingleRotunda and I am a character illustrator working in an anime art style! My commissions are waitlisted as I recover from burnout, but here's the link if you're interested

Character sheet for a curvy and very pale blonde vampire woman named Jittie Skowronek, and a very long boa snake named Sir Ferdinand III. The sheet includes alterative hairstyles, a front and back view of the character, and an alternative summer dress as well as a close up of the simple silver band she wears as a necklace.
Reference sheet for Shai, a young woman with brown hair and brown eyes and a pink cobra snake named Alastor. The reference includes some outfits, items of import and a full view of her back tattoo with a black snake curled around a tree.
Shai work hard on studies, but very tired, so she drink strange brown sludge. She call it 'coffee'. Not liking the smell of it. After breafkast, we go to meet a bug-person teacher named Koride Ulawa!. She give us new task! Quest: Investigate bugs in various places! (marked as complete) - Dorms - Water-side stage - Kitchens - Leshy gardens (portrait of a dark skinned woman with large earrings and beads around her neck signed 'Koride Ulawa') We got a potion for centipede venom from dorm and ask Erebus to find centipede in dorm. He eat one but then bring another, this time not eat it. Then we go to lake-side and grab a water strider. They very cute! While we capture, someone on other side of canal see us and wave! And Manyara and Bella play out a scene, like it was theater! Maybe they should join theater group, because they really good! On other shore, a magister mayor person send a little paper boat to us with a pretty feather! I not sure what the feather about but the boat very cool so I keep! (picture of a little paper boat with a feather on it against the background of a canal with a city across it) After that we decide to go to kitchens. There the cook very annoyed, because apparently kitchens infested with mites and cook help go inside and not go outside. Can mites eat people? Because we peek in and not see cook help. A little worry!
Luckily Noxolo healing help Manyara! And she summon a tree that extends branches, helping us! Noxolo is amazing! (doodle of a living boulder rolling over Manyara, who lies unconscious in front of a tree.) Erebus a little scary though. He fly in and hit things very hard. I think he very annoyed at something. Thinking maybe us doing all this keeps him from some- thing more important. (Detailed doodle of a closeup of Erebus' head) Living boulder meanwhile hit Manyara again, knock her down again (ow) and then try to hit Bella, but thank- fully not hit. Then we hear window break. I thiNK Bella leave through window. Proabbly smart. But not need. I move in, with Erebus, and we defeat boulder!! Feel very nice to protect everyone! After battle settled - other things escaped, probably scared of us - we finally look around the place. Some scrits holed up in a room, but Erebus glare at them and they run off. Smart scrit, Erebus scary. In the room, also a wasp nest. I try to pull the book we look for from nest, using my special telekinesis hand thing, but sadly only get cover. Shame. Wasp ruin the book entirely. (doodle of a wasp next with walls made of book pages) This place really abondoned. Now that not as scary, though, kind of look nice. Even find signs that someone was trying to organize it in the past. Think maybe it was once a nice library, and that makes me sad. I hope maybe place restored.
Thank you for the share!
I'm Silvi and I do fantasy art - mostly items and character design!
I also do a little in-character journal to document pathfinder adventures written by a little pink cobra Alastor (and sometimes Shai)!
This looks so cool! π©·
