Oh to have gotten another six years with my Dad!
Competency porn!
Pope Leo XIV: Jesus told us, blessed are the peacemakers. But woe to those who manipulate religion and the very name of God for their own military, economic, or political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth.
Pope Leo today: "Blessed are the peacemakers."
"Woe to those who manipulate religion and the very name of God for their own military, economic and political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth."
ICE is not about immigration.
ICE is about normalizing a paramilitary force on peaceful streets.
Abolish ICE.
Fall in love with Puppy. I sure did!
😡😡
A Senegal court has sentenced a man to 6 years in jail for consensual same-sex acts, the first conviction under the new law.
This prison sentence is unlawful under international law. Senegal is bound by treaty obligations that protect every person’s right to dignity, privacy and equality.
We cannot risk the world nor the wellbeing of our nation any longer,” she wrote. “Whether by his Cabinet or Congress, the President must be removed from office. We are playing with the brink.”
The only president stupid enough to do it.
I wanna point out something serious. The admin has been complaining about Iran winning the information war.
This same administration shut down Voice of America, and other information operations the US govt does.
It’s a self goal. Actions have consequences
PLEASE LET THIS BE TRUE!🙏🏼🙏🏼😮💨
"If you want an argument for throwing Republicans out of power, it’s that they wouldn’t even [have stopped] Trump from committing genocide. That’s what toadies they are."
On the pod, @jenrubin.bsky.social is so good on the need to keep the focus on Trump's unfitness:

So there’s no regime change, we lift all sanctions against them going back decades, they retain missile and drone capabilities, they control the strait and can charge tolls, and keep their enriched uranium. So much for “unconditional surrender.”
Senate Republicans refused to convict Trump after Jan 6.
Republican SCOTUS appointees gave him immunity.
Republicans in Congress today stand idly by as he unleashes death and destruction across the globe.
We are now at the whims of a mad king because GOP leaders have refused to constrain him.
Regardless of whether it’s all talk, when the leader of our country expresses plainly genocidal intent, everyone has to do something.
For citizens of all political stripes, it means rejecting this madness. For Congress, it means taking action to rein him in. Now.
We didn't deserve this day.
One man put us in this deadly quagmire. One man is wrecking our economy. One man’s immigration agents have terrorized our communities. One man has ridden roughshod over our system of government.
We said "No Kings" 250 years ago. Congress must say "No Kings" today.
If not, they must be replaced.

I couldn't breathe because I was laughing so hard. That bird's an asshole! 😂😂😂😂😂
Best with volume up.
I peed a little!
The people of Iran aren’t free. Iran can now charge tolls. The nuclear material sits EXACTLY where it did, in the same amount, since June. The regime is still in place with a younger ayatollah. Iran still was launching missiles, now with more money to rebuild.
Period
Normalize including sexism/misogyny as part of America's founding evils.
He still needs to be removed from office. A war powers resolution will not suffice. He circumvented Congress to start the war. He circumvented them on tariffs and appropriations. Why anyone thinks he'd adhere to a Congressional war powers resolution is beyond me.
All of Us Should Be Able To Agree With This…..
Just because a President announces he’s agreed to a two week ceasefire moments before he threatened to commit war crimes, does not mean he is suddenly fit to serve. #25thAmendment
Christopher Penn wrote: Just remember that given the abundance of neurodivergent people in science, it's far more likely that autism causes vaccines.
A different perspective.
Always helpful.
An upcoming Montana ballot referendum would deny corporations the power to spend in state and federal elections.
If it passes in deep red Montana, it could pass anywhere. State by state, this could effectively nullify Citizens United. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1fPbGHe3xE
Actually we should just give citizenship to every undocumented person in the United States who wants it. Walking over an imaginary line isn't some great moral atrocity. Making people live in the shadows as a permanent underclass absolutely IS.
