Heh I’m usually the one using absolutes. They’re distinct, sure, but that doesn’t mean there’s no overlap. Each affects the other. I do get where you’re coming from though.

Watching the Super Mario Galaxy movie fight scenes gave me a real urge to play a Super Final Fantasy Mario game with summons and magic battle.

I'm more than jealous. How did you find the movie? I found the pacing a bit weird but overall enjoyed it regardless it being very weird to watch because I could only view a dubbed version here.
