Do you have alternatives you could pursue, that you would prefer?
Posts by Chris Waterguy – coaching neurodivergent professionals
That dip around 2008–2012 is informative.
The bottom half got wiped out while the wealthy consolidated.
What are you avoiding?
(If you're up for it: Why?)
If you want to endear yourself to a Pakistani friend, try telling them how much you love Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
I run workshops on these topics as well as coaching one-on-one.
And I work globally (yay internet): North America Pacific Coast and Australia/NZ are the easiest time zones and I'd love more of these clients!

A major part of the progress in this client's work has been on the source of resistance; the connection between emotions and ADHD.
If that's something you haven't worked on, there's alpha in this!

The author, face scrunched in frustration.
Resistance.
Comment from a client today about managing ADHD:
"I was operating from an assumption that if I get systems and tech sorted, I'll be fine. But you can't systematise your way around not wanting to do something."

Finally reading The Anti-Planner by @danidonovan.com (no you cannot prove that I put it on my bookshelf and forgot about it, shut up) and wait is it common for deadlines you make up not to work? At least in neurodivergent people?
ME: oh a little Zohran video for St Patrick's Day, probably just celebrating Irish culture, maybe a few green beer jokes
ZOHRAN (2 minutes in): ...and that's why King Leopold I of Belgium is a big wet bitch. Furthermore...
That is the monkey mind. Welcome to your human nature.
Meditation can be a good way to start the day or to reset, for that reason:
"Today it's hard to focus. I'll work in shorter blocks. And I'll start with a task that's more forgiving of my current state of mind."
Zen circle symbol: The ensō represents the universe, enlightenment and ‘mu’—the void.
I often say the first benefit of meditation is awareness: See just how distracted and distractible and preoccupied your mind is.
Without judgement.
"I can't meditate, my mind is distractible. I can't stop thinking."
I love new & different flavours.
In jam or other fruit flavoured things, I choose ones I haven't had for a while: Apricot. Raspberry. Blackberry. Cherry.
Why would I have the popular strawberry?
But then I do have strawberry again and it blows me away.

I think it's more likely he won't vote Trump, but I certainly won't be shocked if he again decides the woke are the greater threat.

He turned anti-Trump and anti-MAGA about a month into Trump's second term. Better late than never.
Now he's using all his skills as a troll to provoke MAGA and other racists on Twitter. I enjoy seeing it.
Small blessings.
Sometimes it's very distressing to be made out of meat. Hope you're doing okay.
Love to see it.
Getting out of the distraction vortex is a good thing. Unsubscribing from deeply unethical businesses is a good thing.
If I die, I want my remains to be scattered at the US Capitol. Do not cremate me.
I was getting bulk billed skin checks. Recently checked and it's $65.
That's enough to make many people delay.
It's a shame that 90s style weird pizzas are so out of vogue because this one is SPECTACULAR. Pears, walnuts, blue cheese, olive oil drizzle, sage, salami (or prosciutto), and mozzarella. Before and after. SO GOOD.
One thing about teaching economics is that students don’t start at zero – they start at negative two, what with all the bizarre misconceptions that are circulating #TeachEcon
Lots of people getting this and no one knows why lol.
Ignoring it until and unless they give a good reason
(and I might still say no, because I want a small security attack surface)

I love this.
But also, pause and try a strategy. Laughs are good but beware of reinforcing your helplessness.
If I don't follow you back, it may be because I'm trying to focus less on US political outrages.
Trying to think global but act local.
There's little I can do from here, except support grassroots democracy in Australia and hope it spread
s.
A lot of my Bluesky feed is rage about the USA's politics, corruption and state violence.
I share the rage! Strength to your arm. Organise and oppose.

If I understand poetry (which I probably don't) it's about illness, loss, grief and the transforming effect of a person's presence and memory.
"…when I see you
walking by the river, a step from me,
there is this great kindness everywhere:
now in the grace of the world and always."
A poem by Tom Paulin, "A Lyric Afterwards"
I haven't found a comfortable mask that actually seals well in my larger size.
But I really prefer not being sick, so if it's crowded or poorly ventilated, I wear my slightly uncomfortable mask and put up with it.
Conflicts that are decades old are the story of trauma, vengeance and striving for security.
You don't create peace by making people feel more endangered.
