Any news outlet reporting Mexico conceded anything to Trump to get him to delay tariffs has not done its homework.
Trump boasts he got Mexico to commit to stationing 10K troops at our border. Apparently he didn't realize Mexico already has 15K troops deployed there

Border czar Tom Homan says people in US illegally must leave to make way for those "waiting in line" to come in "the right way."
Then why did the admin's immigration crackdown begin by punishing people who DID come in "the right way" - Ukrainian parolees, screened Afghan refugees, CBP1 appt holders?

If you can’t regulate anything because you’re afraid they’re going to try to leverage their customers to support a fascist, well, then you’ve just given up your ability to regulate anything and you’ve lost completely. You have to have the stomach to fight.

This is a playbook that all kinds of corporations can and will try to run and it’s not going to be good for any of us

I feel like anyone interested in curtailing corporate power should be significantly more concerned with a corporation resisting government oversight by trying to pin it on one party and actively courting an incoming President

How many news stories did you read about the great flourishing of American entrepreneurship in recent years?

What were all these new businesses up to?

I don't recall those stories. Do you?

I don’t think people were less angry 2 years ago. I think the people who voted based on inflation didn’t show up 2 years ago. This dovetails with the media environment though because low propensity voters aren’t well informed and perhaps most likely to flip from the vibes on TikTok or cable news

Luckily the US is about to have an incredibly competent pack of antivax sex offenders on the job.

If there was a blocklist for “confuses average with median” would you use it? Or as annoying as it is would it take something from your life that you now find a little comfort and joy in?

Well spent as a function of society’s benefit? Hell no, hardly a cent of any campaign is spent well by that metric. As a function of helping a campaign win? TBH I don’t know. Every campaign seems to do it, but every campaign also seems to have more money than they could ever use effectively.

If he actually goes through with his stated tariff plans then this doesn’t seem like a far fetched idea

If you just mean paying for rallies where celebrities show up I think that’s both parties — one just has access to more notable celebrities. But your RNC and average Trump rally have your C/D listers like Scott Baio, Hulk Hogan, Amber Rose, Lee Greenwood, Russell Brand, etc.

It’s very important to FOX to train you to be the kind of man who is known to everyone else as the weirdo at thanksgiving so you have no rewarding relationships or interests and can just sit around and watch their shows all day. But like most dealers they don’t use their own supply, pic related

It’s worse than that. They promote antisocial behavior bc the most important thing to FOX News is that you watch FOX News. The world is a scary place and it’s wrong to care about friends and family, just stay scared in your living room glued to the TV and alienate everyone who would pull you out.

I feel like the only people who made that designation were the former Republican member of congress and daughter of a center-right foreign policy power-broker themselves. I would love if all this attention on them inspires a new SNL skit though.
