This is super exciting!! I can't wait to see what coalesces!
[My gma would leave post-its for my gpa that read "Went to SAC. U-NO-HOO. This invariably led to my gpa making jokes about how my gma was at the "Strategic Air Command" again. (SAC actually meant Senior Action Center.) This will happen to you, too, if you're blessed to be married for 50 years!]
On the other hand, Qifrey APPARENTLY forgot to (a) tell his new apprentice about his roommate/boyfriend, and (b) forgot to leave a note for his roommate/boyfriend about his new apprentice. C'mon, man, my grandparents communicated better than that!

I've reached the point in the manga where enough people have tried to carry Coco off to the Knights Moralis that i am extremely troubled by the witches' shitty administration. IS THERE NO BUREAUCRACY TO KEEP THIS SHIT ORGANIZED???

In a very unexpected first, we've been watching an anime as it releases and.. i want to read the manga?? Fortunately spouse *does* have "Witch Hat Atelier," something he's wanted to rec to me except that i generally don't read comics. This is now a Witch Hat thread! I will use hashtags for spoilers!
I failed my first attempt at one the other day, and was surprised to learn i'm also a robot!
But, srsly, they need to stop posing philosophical questions in these things. "Click on all the cars." But is a BUS a car??? Only for us robots.

Guess we'll see what happens this summer, if i get flowers/seeds at all!
there are definitely, like, almost a dozen whole ramps (with leaves) in my pot. But i did also plant all my root ends!! I have no idea which took, lmao!
Anyway. I could swear i'd read that a minimum for establishing a patch was 3 years, but i am absolute SHIT at taking notes on readings. :P
Guess we better find a green mage then!
I want to go back and tell everyone who liked my post about planting the root ends that it looks like i also planted some of the whole ramps themselves. I'm looking back at the pic i took at the time (so i could gauge growth in future years) and

This will be the 3rd spring/summer for my patch, and i am REALLY hoping they flower this year. I want seeds!!!
Oooof, sincere sympathies, from my position lying prone in bed with the heating pad on my neck/back.
Reader, i married him.
Oh, that's Jackie catnip

That's the idea! π₯°
Psst. Hey. You're doing GREAT π
Does doing things you like make you happy? Someone should do a study on this. Much to learn.
I can tell i love papermaking, because i spent much of yesterday afternoon dialing in the beater setup (with tarp), and today i spent TWICE as much time both beating fiber and putting together the rest of my setup. And i'm achy as fuck, BUT I AM SOMEHOW ALSO VERY HAPPY???
This is a modern, soft-sided type of Hollander, which is used for macerating (aka, beating) fibers to prepare them for making paper. The beater is oval-shaped with a large metal contraption on the right side. This is the beating part, which comes down against a metal plate on the bottom. Fiber is forced between the two, which is the action called "beating". The beater itself is green-sided and the cotton fiber (suspended in gallons of water) i was beating is white and contrasts nicely, color-wise, with the green.
It has taken years to get to this point, but i can finally use my paper beater at home. π I still have a lot of dialing in to do with the rest of my setup, but the good news is that i do, still, love papermaking.
Oh, they're so pretty!
Black and white photo of a black medium haired cat lying on grass, looking up at the camera. It looks like it has pure white eyes with no pupils but itβs overwhelmingly likely that it's just light blow out from overexposure.
Gorgeous, spooky friend from my collection. No date/info.
Fishtopher, a classic brown tabby cat with green eyes, laying on his back in a sunny windowsill. His head presses against the ground and his canine teeth peek out from gravity. Behind him is a black cat in a yellow cat bed. Next to him is another tabby cat. Fish's body is curled to fit himself in between them, and his front paws are tucked towards his body.
Fishtopher in the same position as the last photo, but now has his front legs stretched out. He shows off his underbelly.
oooh big stretch
I bought some from the foragers at out farmers market 2 years ago and saved all the rooting ends and put them into a pot with some soil and now i'm a genius who has their own backyard ramp patch.
Oh wow, thanks for the tip. I had no idea this existed, but spouse and i had *just* been talking about Franklin.
