If github desktop is wrong i don't want to be right

In the past I've used the DALEX explain_tidymodels / model_parts as well (mainly from www.tmwr.org/explain).

From my (very limited) usage thus far of these new tidymodels packages, I'd say the biggest benefit is the easy tie in with feature selection recipe steps.

Certainly no need to change.

I'm all in on @topepo.bsky.social and co's new {important} and other variable importance/feature selection tools in tidymodels! #rstats

Which repo would you like the issue in?

With bigrquerystorage downloaded it's about twice as slow for me (21.53 sec vs 10.83 sec)

I tried it and didn't notice any speed-up. Might have to try again.

ISAT: Understanding p-values I would like to respond to a recent letter by Mr. Robert Lem regarding Superintendent Critchfield’s characterization of Idaho’s 2025 ISAT results. Mr. Lem writes:

Thankfully someone has already responded 😅

Volleyball Statistics for Irvine and Stanford's 2025 MVB season

I had the idea to add distributions to my volleyball summary tables today. Thanks to @richmeister.bsky.social's gt, @mjskay.com's ggdist, and @themockup.blog's gtExtras packages! Took awhile but got there eventually!

(note that this is a screenshot of a shiny app so quality is a bit iffy)

I took a python class in the fall at my university which taught pandas. As a fervent R user, I hated it and started learning polars. At end of the course, I was talking with the professor about switching to Polars. Unfortunately, in 2025, I agree that you can’t teach just polars in an intro course.

A stacked bar graph with different sources of funding with gia taking up the largest bit. The graph peaks at 2007 with a value of around 145 million pounds before falling back to ~80 million pounds in the year 2023.

I honestly have worked best just writing most notes in apple notes app, and i take class notes on physical paper (because I know I won't look at them years later). I am a huge fan of Zotero though for annotating and keeping important sources of info.
