At UCSF we have one of the most collegial HN groups around. If you're a #radonc who'd like to be a part of it, send us a cover letter and CV! We'd love to meet some people during ASTRO!

a small dog wearing a black and orange bandana, collar, and leash sits on a leafy dirt path and looks up at us with large brown eyes. she's white with brown spots on her ears and eyes. she has brown speckles on her left paw, and her right paw is actually a bright orange webbed duck foot. she likes to have fun with her prosthetics.

This is Autumn. She was born without one paw. Gets along just fine with three, but still sometimes uses a prosthetic leg when she wants to blend in. 13/10

Love the American Radium Society meeting. #ARS2025
Where you can actually talk and learn from everyone there.
For instance at this meeting I was taught that it is cool to wear brown shoes. Can you pick out the two faculty members in this photograph?

This is Pippa. She’s been on many scenic hikes and has seen many beautiful views. But she has also napped through her fair share of those views, and we don’t blame her one bit. 14/10 #SeniorPupSaturday

This is Dennis. He was asked to do the same trick over and over again with no compensation. 13/10 justice for Dennis

How a Canadian scientist and a venomous lizard helped pave the way for Ozempic - National | Globalnews.ca In 1984, Dr. Daniel Drucker, an endocrinologist from the University of Toronto, discovered a hormone that helped pave the way for popular diabetes drugs such as Ozempic.

This is the most relevant article to NIH and research cuts I’ve seen.

Imagine if this was today , how many people would be saying “Why are we studying Gila Monsters and their impact on diabetes ? That’s wasted money !”

Fun fact: If someone quotes a post of yours in a way that is unwelcome (as is commonplace on Twitter/X) there is a tool to combat the unwanted attention. Simply click the three dot menu on the quote post & click "Detach quote". This removes your post from their quote post. Useful to know, do share!

Video conferencing took really off during the Covid Pandemic. #Zoom #Teams #Skype, many proprietary products dominated the market. But why not use #Jitsi which is a full #foss video conferencing tool and can run on your own server.
