Decaffeinated Coffees Archives - Peak Bean

I can recommend Peak Bean, they tend to change the decaf offering every so often so not sure on the current one. I drink their caffeinated but have traditionally had stomach issues with coffee, yet theirs seems to agree with me. peakbean.co.uk?product_cat=...

I purchased one of those bird feeders with a WiFi camera built into it for my partners birthday, and I’m now addicted to a new app!

A bottle of Talisker Skye Scottish whisky on the right next to a whisky glass on the left. The glass has a design on the front saying ā€œVintage 1981 Perfectionā€. The glass has whisky poured into it.

And bicycle parts… It’s the kind of unwrapped I would rather be left in blissful ignorance.

I got an invasive ā€œ2025 Unwrappedā€ when I logged into my banking app today, this crap is getting out of hand!

Found somewhere in the middle of the beer store, this smoked ESB is Torrside in a glass to me. Invokes memories of brewery taps gone by. Lovely smoked flavour that adds to but doesn’t overpower the ESB. Bottled August 2022, best before April 2023 (like that matters), tasting superb in November 2025.

It does appear they missed the brief somewhat. Maybe that is the first test of suitable compatibility.

Got a much needed week off work with a couple of days where OH is still in work. I am determined not to A) get dragged into work issues (as often happens), B) waste time doing nothing, although some amount of nothing is acceptable, C) let a list of chores take over. Planning restorative activities.

So… ā€œMy bioā€ surely indicates that the information contained within is specifically about them. Are they hoping they are themselves someone they can date…. 😳

Don’t think Larry would get away with that title….

Cheers. Getting mixed messages on internet, seems some events might be ok, but nothing specific on the website. I’ll ping them a message.

Anyone know if you can take a dog into Stockroom?

Nice. My first one was a Master System as well, but I switched allegiance & went to the SNES. My next mission is to find my first computer, the Commodore C16, which is still in their house somewhere I’m sure!

I had that issue with the SNES, but I ended up picking up an old TV from Facebook marketplace for my office that has all the needed ports. Tuned the Master System into the analogue aerial connection, old school!

I found an old Super Nintendo (SNES) & Sega Master System II at my parent’s house. Had to source some cables for them but incredibly both work perfectly. The Sega cables turned up the morning, 35 years old with original controller & it still works like it’s brand new.

If you've missed it, then this emotional goodbye from the ITV cycling team who present the Tour De France is worth watching.
Feels very heartfelt and left a lump in my throat.
They're going to be missed🄲🄲🄲

I thought Bryan Adams would have been higher, given he was at number 1 for what felt like 90% of the 90s!

Might give that one a go this weekend. šŸ‘

Back from a toasty weeks camping trip in the southern Lake District, straight into the local for some much needed refreshments after battling the M60!

Yes definitely, that would be the dream. It’s the soapbox I always go on when in a car with anyone going down the A6.

Stockport really does feel like it’s having a bit of a resurgence, so many cool looking places opening up & new development going on.

For those who recommended Sticky Fingers to me, I doff my cap! šŸ‘Œ Biscoff Cheesecake & a chocolate doughnut (because I’m a sucker for a doughnut).

Has Sticky Fingers moved from the indoor market to the underbanks now?

Can anyone recommend a great place for a decent coffee & cake in Stockport? It’s a certain someone’s birthday & they fancy a treat whilst in town.
