screenshot of an interview with Quincy Jones : Q: What were your first impressions of the Beatles? A: That they were the worst musicians in the world. They were no-playing motherfuckers. Paul was the worst bass player I ever heard. And Ringo? Don't even talk about it. I remember once we were in the studio with George Martin, and Ringo® had taken three hours for a four-bar thing he was trying to fix on a song. He couldn't get it. We said, "Mate, why don't you get some lager and lime, some shepherd's pie, and take an hour-and-a-half and relax a little bit." So he did, and we called Ronnie Verrell, a jazz drummer. Ronnie came in for 15 minutes and tore it up. Ringo comes back and says, "George, can you play it back for me one more time?" So George did, and Ringo says, "That didn't sound so bad." And I said, “Yeah, motherfucker because it ain't you." Great guy, though.
RIP Quincy Jones , i will always remember him both as a tremendous musical force and distinguished fellow Beatles-hater
Please, for the love of GOD redraw your old artwork if you're going through an artblock.
It's so much better than just doing nothing all day but self-loathing your current work.
welcome to the NOvember challenge. if you were thinking about doing something, don't

i think the pipe organ should be in more places than churches and stadiums. the office pipe organ should play the start of peter gabriel's sledgehammer when your friend steve comes in the door.

extreme closeup shot of my OC’s eye. their hands are covering their face with their eye peeking through. their iris is shaped like a star, glowing but also bleeding itself out through the eyeball, and trickling down their face.
an illustration of a girl sitting on the sofa holding a TV remote about to change the channel. another character is behind the sofa, facing the same direction as the girl as he puts the back of the cleaver to her neck. a ceiling light dangles above them.

my dad sent one of those chain emails to my mother the other week and it was going on about how their generation was better because they learnt how to use a typewriter in school and I had to point out that I learnt how to use a typewriter in school too

I think my favorite period novel error is “wonton” when the author means ”wanton.” Is she a delicious soup, or is she merely horny?

Did you know, my friends, that we are approaching a real famine in southern Gaza? The crossings are closed to allow food to enter, and the prices are high. One tomato costs 5 shekels, equal to 1.3 dollars. One onion costs 5 shekels, and one egg costs 8 shekels, equal to 2.2 dollars.

If you went to the Odeon cinema on Leicester Square in London in the late 1930s, you'd see this gorgeous beast appear out of the floor and a dapper gentleman would play a tune on this Compton organ before the film began.
