Sorry I haven’t streamed lately. All my physical and mental energy is being spent at work. I really wish I could stream, but I also need to let myself recuperate properly, since I easily burn out.
Wish we could get a modern Pokemon Stadium-esque game rather than Champions. I stay away from competitive pvp like it’s the plague.
Ah yes, the base set. I never really kept up with the TCG after Gen 2 so I wouldn’t know which reruns are which lol.
I know I still have my childhood cards stored somewhere. That dratini card might still be there too.
This card right here was the start of me falling down the rabbit hole of Pokemon 27 years ago.
It was 1999 and Pokemon got real big in my school. I was a little late to it, but I remember asking a classmate about it and he showed me his cards. He gave me that card since he had duplicates.
Pixelated graphics even today can still be stunning. Heck I’m excited for Mina the Hollower due to its GBC-ish asthetic.
Low poly can be good too. Fun fact while I have modded FF7 I will never use the “high quality“ character mods. They just look so out of place to me. Polygon Cloud or bust.
In general, I do like the QoL changes that comes with the remasters, like gyro aiming. Overall though I’d say Skyward Sword HD comes out on top for me, due to 60 fps, the controls feeling better, and added non-motion control options (though I still used joycons. S2 joycons feel especially good.)

You know what? Screw it. I’m going to start huffing the Kingdom Hearts copium for June this year.

Yeah it’s probably going to be the start of FF7R pt. 3’s marketing cycle but... why not KH news too?
Man, I know how that is. When I played FF7 Rebirth, I was going through the game trying to do everything but by the time I got to gongaga I set it to easy and beelined it to the end because YouTube was trying its darndest to show me spoilers.

I saw the first Mario movie in theaters and thought it was okay. Probably just going to wait on the Galaxy movie.
The Zelda movie is the one I’m super worried about. It’s a different studio yeah but still I’m very cautious.

I genuinely don’t see myself buying a ps6 at this point. I’ve bought playstation stuff since the ps2, but I think PS5 might be my last one.
I’ve mainly been shifting to PC anyhow. Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy going fully multiplat (from what we’re hearing) sealed the deal for me.
If they added an official randomizer that would make it worthwhile.

If it’s true, then I stand by the prediction that it’ll simply be an upscaled port of the 3DS version. No new content or features.
Yes, I would love to have new content, but I have to keep my expectations leveled, given Nintendo’s precedent with remakes.
